A produção de cartas de condução digitais em Moçambique deverá arrancar já em Junho deste ano, com promessa de redução significativa nos custos para os cidadãos, anunciou o Ministro dos Transportes e Logística, João Matlombe.
De acordo com o governante, a empresa responsável pelo projecto já foi seleccionada, estando neste momento em fase final de negociação contratual, após o concurso público lançado no ano passado.
Matlombe explicou que o processo ainda depende de alguns trâmites legais obrigatórios, incluindo a validação por entidades competentes, o que poderá influenciar ligeiramente o início das operações, embora o objectivo continue a ser cumprir o prazo estabelecido.
Além da introdução das cartas digitais, o projecto inclui a instalação de câmaras de controlo de velocidade nas estradas, com vista a reforçar a fiscalização rodoviária e reduzir infracções, podendo, futuramente, diminuir a necessidade de presença física de agentes de trânsito em algumas zonas.
O ministro destacou que esta iniciativa faz parte de um plano mais amplo de modernização do sector, visando maior eficiência, transparência e redução de custos para os utentes. (Por : Paula Nuampossa e João )
