A Inspecção Nacional das Actividades Económicas (INAE) aplicou uma multa de cerca de 1,8 milhão de meticais à Cervejas de Moçambique (CDM), após constatar graves problemas de higiene nas casas de banho da sua unidade industrial localizada na zona do Jardim, na cidade de Maputo.
A decisão foi tomada na sequência de uma fiscalização realizada no dia 10 de Fevereiro, motivada por uma denúncia tornada pública pelo jornal O Destaque. Durante a inspecção, equipas técnicas da INAE, acompanhadas por especialistas de saúde pública, encontraram um cenário considerado preocupante.
Segundo o relatório preliminar, os sanitários apresentavam urinóis degradados, forte odor, presença de moscas, pavimento sujo e ausência de materiais básicos de higiene, como papel higiénico e sabão. Para as autoridades, as condições verificadas configuram violação das normas elementares de higiene e segurança no trabalho, podendo representar risco à saúde dos funcionários.
Além da aplicação da multa, a INAE determinou o encerramento imediato das casas de banho que se encontravam em estado mais crítico. A reabertura dos sanitários estará condicionada à realização de obras de reabilitação e à comprovação do cumprimento integral das exigências sanitárias.
A sanção estende-se igualmente a duas empresas subcontratadas responsáveis pela limpeza e manutenção das instalações, que poderão ser responsabilizadas pelas irregularidades detectadas durante a fiscalização.
A entidade reguladora informou que a CDM dispõe de um prazo reduzido para implementar melhorias e adequar as condições às normas legais em vigor. A INAE acrescentou que continuará a monitorar a unidade ao longo do ano, podendo realizar novas inspecções para assegurar o cumprimento das regras e a salvaguarda da saúde pública. _vozafricano
